Energy Saving FAQs

How do I change my business energy provider?

At Energy Buzz we try to make this process as simple and straightforward as possible. Before we start you will need to understand which tariff you are on:

There are 2 types of tariffs you are likely to be on:

  • Fixed rate- you will typically be locked into a contract for an agreed length of time. A quick call to your current energy supplier and they will give you this information.
  • Variable rate tariff- typically you can switch to a different tariff or provider once you have given your current provider 30 days’ notice.

At this point when your contract is due to end, you can start looking for a new deal 1 year before you need to switch. If you require more information don’t hesitate to contact us.

How long does it take to switch business energy?

This depends on a couple of factors. Typically it hinges on your contract end date. The advantage of using Energy Buzz is that we handle the entire process for you including negotiating the price with energy supplier (something we are experts in).

If you are out of contract, we can switch your supplier between a 6-30 day period.

Our team will keep you updated throughout the process so you will know where we are up to.

How much can I save through Energy Buzz?

This can depend on a number of factors including;

  • Where you are based in the UK,
  • Your current costs how much you currently pay and
  • Fluctuations in market unit costs (which is why quotes can be different from day to day as suppliers buy energy from different sources).

This year we’ve saved a customer over £16,000 per annum on their energy bill. We work tirelessly to get our customers the absolute best deal possible which is why we have so many repeat customers.

Can my business switch to green energy?

Absolutely! In fact Energy Buzz work with a number of suppliers who offer “Green Energy” tariffs for your business. Over the last few years we have seen a shift in pricing making it more affordable to “go green”.
